About Me and This Blog

I'm a currently unemployed high school teacher living in Finland, qualified to teach English, ethics and philosophy. I share an apartment with my boyfriend, my books, my craft supplies and works in progress, my beautiful shiny metallic red cross trainer, my three game consoles (Playstation 3, Xbox360 and Nintendo 3DS) and lots of DVDs and BDs (movies, TV series and games).

I have lots of hobbies with which I spend varying amounts of time depending on what I'm in the mood for. These hobbies include:
- reading
- listening to audiobooks (bought mostly from audible.co.uk) and music (mostly via Spotify)
- cross stitching (mostly charts bought from Heaven and Earth Designs)
- video games (cute platformers, puzzlers, adventure games and role-playing games)
- fitness stuff (cross trainer and kettlebell workouts, zumba, disco dance, Fitness Blender workouts and yoga)
- papercrafts (making cute cards when the inspiration hits)
- creative writing (poems and short stories)

My goal in life is to be happy and healthy, and to that end, I am trying to raise my fitness level and drop the excess weight I have gained over many years of total neglect. Doing this in a happy, healthy way can be quite challenging, especially taking into account my very limited income, and so, to boost my motivation, I am posting progress pictures to this blog every six weeks for as long as this project lasts. There will also be other posts, about life, food, movies, games, TV series, hobbies and whatever random stuff happens to inspire me to write.

So, I bid you welcome, and please feel free to comment on any of my posts if you have something you wish to share with me. All comments are welcome, on topic or off, provided they are inoffensive.

Happy reading!
